Key Specs to Compare for SAFAVIEH Desks
Check desk width for space
You must measure your available floor space before buying. The SAFAVIEH Haven measures 42 inches wide, which suits smaller rooms. The Esther model is 46 inches wide, offering more surface area. Ensure you leave room for chair movement. A wider desk allows for multiple monitors. Match the width to your physical constraints to avoid overcrowding your home office environment.
Verify height and ergonomics
Standard desk height affects your posture while working. Both the Haven and Esther models stand at 30 inches tall. This is the typical height for writing desks. You should pair this with an adjustable chair to maintain proper elbow alignment. Check your current chair settings against this fixed desk height. A 30-inch surface works for most users, but verify your comfort level before purchasing.
Assess storage drawer needs
Integrated storage reduces clutter on your workspace. Both listed desks include two drawers. This feature keeps documents and supplies hidden from view. You should decide if you need this built-in organization. The Haven offers storage in a matte black finish. The Esther provides the same drawer count in grey. Choose based on whether you prefer concealed storage on your desk surface.
Consider weight for stability
Desk weight impacts stability and ease of moving. The Haven weighs 35 pounds, while the Esther weighs 38 pounds. Heavier desks tend to wobble less during typing. You should consider if you need to move the desk frequently. These weights suggest a solid wood construction. Ensure your floor can support this load. The slight weight difference is negligible for most users, but stability is key for focus.
Match color to decor
The finish should complement your existing room aesthetic. The Haven features a matte black color. The Esther comes in a grey tone. You should select the color that matches your walls or chair. Black offers a modern, stark look. Grey provides a softer, classic appearance. Both are solid wood, so the color is a surface treatment. Choose the option that blends best with your home office design scheme.
